Nave, threaded notes Nave, threaded notes

A little thought. A new possibility.

A voice and text notes app for iPhone. Capture what’s on your mind. Nave finds the connections, so your ideas have somewhere to go.

No account needed. Your notes stay yours.

Less organizing. More living.

Life happens between notes Illustrative notes

Different days. One train of thought.

A passing idea. A detail you notice. A decision, days later. Capture each moment — Nave connects the related notes, so you can pick up where you left off.

Discover how notes connect
  1. The first thought

“The kitchen could feel a little warmer. Something is missing.”

Say it while it’s on your mind. No need to have it figured out.

  2. A new detail

“That café had a tiny lamp by the window. Such a nice light.”

Keep the small detail that you might otherwise forget.

  3. A possibility

“Maybe a little lamp would work in our kitchen too.”

A separate note becomes part of the same developing idea.

  4. A change of plan

“The shelf is too crowded. Let’s try the corner by the window.”

Change your mind. The earlier thinking stays in the thread.

  5. The next step

“Found a warm little lamp. I’ll measure the windowsill tonight.”

Nave picks out the action from your words.

  6. Something real

“Lamp is in. Tea by the window is my new favourite part of the day.”

Come back to the result, and every thought that led there.

Your notes arrive separately. The story stays together.

What Nave does

You bring the thought. Nave makes room.

A few thoughtful touches that make capturing easier and coming back worthwhile.

You say

“Found a warm little lamp. I’ll measure the windowsill tonight.”

Nave writes

A warmer corner of the kitchen

A lamp for the window. Measure the space tonight.

Capture

Say it or type it.

One tap, by voice or keyboard. Your words are saved on the iPhone first, even offline. Then Nave writes a title, a summary and the key points.

From the note

“…I’ll measure the windowsill tonight.”

Measure the windowsill

Say a time and Nave offers to add it to Reminders.

Actions

Nothing you promised stays buried.

What you said you would do becomes an action, without marking anything up.

Calendar

A way back to any day.

Every day you captured on is marked. Tap one and what you thought that day comes back, in order.

  • Personal
  • Work
  • Reading

Spaces

Work and home never mix.

Each space has its own notes, threads and colour. Switch space and the whole app switches with it.

Threads

Related notes stay together.

When notes turn out to be about the same thing, Nave puts them in one thread and names it. Nothing to tag, nothing to sort. The thread keeps the order and the dates, so you can see how your thinking changed.

First note

“The kitchen could feel a little warmer. Something is missing.”

Sixth note, same thread

“Lamp is in. Tea by the window is my new favourite part of the day.”

Illustrative notes. The four in between stay in the thread, in order.

Always yours

Your notes. In your hands.

  • Plain Markdown files.

Your notes stay in your own iCloud folder, as plain Markdown: readable without Nave, and yours to move or delete.

  • No account, no copy.

Nave keeps no copy of your notes, and there is no account.

  • Your choice of AI.

Titles and summaries come from Apple Intelligence on-device, from your own key, or from Nave's built-in AI, which doesn't save the note.

Good to know

Questions

A few things you might be wondering before your first note.

Is Nave free?

Nave is free, and there is no account to make. The built-in AI is free up to a limit, and Nave Pro lifts it. When you reach a limit, notes still save, and you can switch to your own key or to Apple Intelligence. See what Free and Pro include.

Where are my notes stored?

In your iCloud Drive, as plain Markdown, one file per note. You can open them without Nave, and move or delete them. Nave keeps no copy.

Does Nave work offline?

Saving does. Your words are on the iPhone before anything else runs. Titles and summaries need a model: Apple Intelligence runs on the iPhone, and your own key or Nave's built-in AI need a connection.

Which iPhone do I need?

An iPhone on the latest software. Apple Intelligence needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later. On any other iPhone, Nave's built-in AI or your own key writes the titles and summaries. The exact requirements are on the support page.

Can I use my own OpenAI or Anthropic key?

Yes. Add an OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini key under Settings › AI provider, and each request goes from your iPhone straight to that company. Nave never receives it.
