Terms
Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms cover the Nave app for iPhone and this website, navememory.com. Nave is made by Denys Vysochin in Ukraine ("we", "us"). By using the app or the site, you agree to these terms. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
If you got Nave from the App Store, the license agreement shown there also applies: Apple's standard license agreement. If it conflicts with these terms, that agreement wins for the app.
Using Nave
You can use Nave for your own personal or work notes. Don't use it to break the law, and don't misuse the Nave service at api.navememory.com: don't try to get around Nave Free's limits or the fair-use ceilings, share or resell access, overload the service, or access it other than through the app.
Nave's built-in AI runs on OpenAI and Anthropic models, so when you use it you also have to follow their usage policies: OpenAI, Anthropic.
You need to be old enough to hold your own Apple Account where you live.
We can stop providing the built-in AI to an install or an Apple Account that breaks these terms, to the extent the law allows without a refund.
Your notes
Your notes belong to you. They're stored on your iPhone and in your iCloud Drive, which is a service from Apple under Apple's terms. We don't have a copy of your notes and can't recover notes that are deleted, damaged or lost. You're responsible for keeping backups of anything important.
You're responsible for what you write, and for having the right to use any content you put into Nave.
AI results can be wrong
Titles, summaries, key points, threads and actions are generated by AI. They can be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Check anything important yourself before you rely on it.
Nave can miss a time in a note, read it wrongly, or fail to create a reminder. Don't rely on Nave as the only reminder for anything important. Don't use Nave for decisions where a mistake could cause harm, such as medical, legal, financial or safety matters.
Nave Free
Nave Free is Nave's built-in AI with nothing to pay and no account. It has limits on how many notes it writes up in all, how many edits it makes each month and how long a recording can be. The limits are counted for the Apple Account that downloaded Nave, on all its iPhones and across reinstalls. The current numbers are shown in the app; the App Store description shows them as they were when that version was submitted. We can change them at any time.
Apple Intelligence and your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key are not part of Nave Free or Nave Pro. They stay free in Nave whichever you use, and any cost of your own key is between you and that company.
Nave Pro
Nave Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, that you buy in the App Store. It lifts Nave Free's limits and allows longer recordings.
Fair use. Apart from the recording length, Nave Pro has no limits you'll see. It's meant for one person's own notes, so both Nave Free and Nave Pro have fair-use ceilings on how much the built-in AI does in a day and in a month, set well above what one person's notes normally need. If a ceiling is reached, the built-in AI pauses until it lifts; your notes still save.
Payment. You buy Nave Pro through the App Store: Apple handles the payment, and we provide Nave Pro. The price is shown before you buy, can differ by country and includes tax where Apple charges it. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or, if you start with a free week, when the week ends.
Free week. Where Apple offers it, Nave Pro starts with one week free. Apple decides who is eligible. If you don't want to pay, cancel at least 24 hours before the free week ends.
Renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple tells you before the change applies and, where the law or Apple requires it, asks you to agree.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel the subscription at any time under Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone. When you cancel, Nave Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting Nave doesn't cancel the subscription.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's rules, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue or refuse them ourselves. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also withdraw from a purchase within 14 days, through Apple, under Apple's terms.
Which devices. Nave Pro belongs to the Apple Account that bought it and works on every iPhone signed in to the App Store with that account. Restore Purchases in the app turns it on for another iPhone. It isn't shared through Family Sharing.
When Nave Pro ends. Nave goes back to Nave Free, and Nave Free's limits apply again, including notes already counted before Nave Pro. Your notes stay exactly where they are, and nothing is deleted.
Changes to Nave Free and Nave Pro
We can change how the built-in AI works or which models it uses, for example when a provider changes or stops a model.
We can change what Nave Pro includes only for a valid reason, such as a provider's change, the cost of running it, the law or security. If a change makes Nave Pro noticeably worse for you, we'll say so in the app and on this page at least 30 days before it applies. You can cancel the subscription; if you live in the EU or UK, you can also end it within 30 days of the change and ask Apple to refund the part of the period you haven't used, and we'll support that request with Apple.
If we stop offering Nave's built-in AI, we'll stop selling Nave Pro and its renewals first and say so in the app and on this page at least 30 days before it stops. If that cuts a period you've paid for short, ask Apple for a refund of the unused part; we'll support that request. Nave itself, your notes, Apple Intelligence and your own key keep working.
Other companies' services
Nave works with services that other companies provide: the App Store, Apple Intelligence, iCloud Drive, and OpenAI, Anthropic and Google when you use your own key. If you use your own key, you use that company's service under your agreement with them, and you're responsible for the key, for any costs, and for what you send.
We don't control these services and aren't responsible for how they work, whether they're available, or how they handle your data.
No guarantees
Nave and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that they'll always be available, work without errors, keep every feature, or suit a particular purpose. We can change or stop the app, the website or any part of them, as these terms describe.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for lost or damaged data, for lost profits, or for losses caused by other companies' services. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to Nave is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Nave in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars.
These limits don't apply to losses caused by our fraud, intent or gross negligence, or to death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited by agreement.
Stopping
You can stop using Nave at any time by deleting the app. If you subscribe to Nave Pro, cancel the subscription as well, as described above. Notes in your iCloud Drive stay there. If iCloud Drive is off, your notes are kept only inside Nave on your iPhone, and deleting Nave deletes them, so copy them out of Files › On My iPhone › Nave first. To remove the data we keep, see the privacy policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you use Nave as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of the country you live in, including any right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and for significant changes we'll say on this page what changed. If you keep using Nave after a change, you accept the updated terms. A change to these terms doesn't take away a period of Nave Pro you've paid for.
On 12 October 2026 we described Nave Free and Nave Pro: the subscription, its free week, payment, renewal, cancelling and refunds through Apple, Nave Pro's fair use, and how we can change either. We also linked Apple's standard license agreement.
On 14 September 2026 we named Ukraine as the governing law, added the OpenAI and Anthropic usage policies, and said which losses the liability limits don't cover.
